“I initially started skating because I would spend time watching my brother play Tony Hawkʼs Pro Skater 2 video game. Since he never let me have a turn playing the game, I had to wait until he was gone one day to try it out myself. When I did, I had so much fun! Remembering my brother had gotten a board for Christmas, I thought ‘If this game is this much fun, I can’t imagine how skating must feel!’ So, I went out to the garage, grabbed the board and hit the street. The first thing I did was boardslide a curb and was instantly hooked. I love skating today because when I’m in the air it feels incredible! Also, skating is a way for me to get away and just simply relax, not to mention the continuing progression. There truly are endless possibilities where we skaters can take this sport.”
